Molded Dimensions focus on "green." They changed white
boxes to a natural, brown colored box made from 40% recycled material.
The natural, brown color requires less bleach and other chemicals within
the production of the corrugated material and reusing recycled material
is always a good thing.
 A
second also important move we made was to recycle our "heels."
As a natural part of the rubber molding process, we produce waste rubber
material in the runners, sprues, and gates. Our goal is to
minimize this in cycle waste, but there is always some that we cannot
eliminate. The recycling company parks a trailer at our dock for
as long as it takes to fill it. Because we create so little waste,
it does take a while. This waste material is ground up and used in
running tracks and playground surfaces rather than put into a landfill.
The plant expansion incorporated several low energy components. |

Precision Molded Diaphragms - A True Manufacturing Challenge
We have increased our measurement capabilities and capacity. Continuous in-process inspections are made using our Video Coordinate Measuring Machine. It allows us non-contact measurement accuracy and provides accurate, repeatable dimensional measurements for incoming inspection, first article inspection, tooling verification and sampling. This system with edge detection is capable of magnification from 30X to 340X.
