Phenolic (Phenol Formaldehyde)

Format: Usually filled

Properties:  This is one of the early resins produced. It is very brittle unless filled. When molded, good heat stability, electrical resistance and chemical resistance can be obtained.    

Material cost is low but processing cost limits this material.

Relative Cost:  Low
